Massachusetts writer Peter Brown reads from his short story about the desperation of a single mom and her handicapped son in “Yolanda’s Pool.” Click the play button above to listen. Along with his fiction, Peter has published translations from Spanish and French and has received support from the PEN America Center and the French Embassy for his work as a translator, as well as a 2006 artist’s grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council for his fiction. Peter lives and works in the Boston area and is a senior editor for the literary journal Salamander.
